Lisa Padilla, AIA, LEED APbrings over 25 years of experience in urban design and architecture. Prior to launching Cityworks Design, she worked in national design practices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, where she gained experience in the design and management of a variety of urban, public, commercial, residential, and retail projects. She has contributed to the design and implementation of notable Los Angles projects that include: City of West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard, Metro's Pasadena Gold Line and Expo Line, and LA Union Station Master Plan and Connect US Ped-Bike Action Plan. The Santa Monica Boulevard Master Plan recieved an AIA National Honor Award for Urban Design while she was at ZGF Architects (1995-2006). Lisa has considerable experience working with city agencies, elected officials, and local stakeholders, especially on community-based planning projects. As a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), she served as a juror for the National AIA Institute Honor Award for Regional and Urban Design, and on the AIA National Steering Committee for Regional Urban Design. At the state level she has served on the Editorial Board of "ArcCA" design journal, and AIA/CC Urban Design Committee. Lisa served as a National Peer Reviewer for federal design projects at the invitation of the General Services Administration. She has been a member of the Mayor's Vision Panel for Downtown Los Angeles, and the CRA/LA's Downtown Arts Advisory Panel.
